Kate & Gareth’s Lake District wedding at the Wasdale Head Inn in the incredible setting at Wasdale Head, Seascale. As soon as I was asked to be their wedding photographer at the Wasdale Inn, I was really excited. The location is close to Ravenglass (with it’s picturesque railway) and Muncaster Castle, really amazing places to visit if you have the oppertunity. It is a part of my nature to explore and to be among the epicness of the mountains and valleys, so being here filled me with great excitement! The location at Wasdale is a popular base station for climbers and adventurers to scale the surrounding mountains in the region, a truly majestic sight. It boasts England’s highest mountain and its deepest lake, among the stunning views.
Kate & Gareth both really wanted natural, relaxed wedding photographs in the natural open air surroundings of their most treasured locations to visit in the Lake District, so Wasdale in Cumbria was a perfect setting. The wedding featured an all natural approach, using handmade bunting provided by each friend and family member in order to create really amazing, handcrafted decoration. The day at Wasdale Inn was very much an alternative style wedding, they had guests do a quiz and had lots of fun games for people to play and enjoy the day. Take a look at how their wedding day went.
