Wow! what a beautiful intimate wedding in the Lake District, it is a real joy to be a wedding photographer in the Lake District when smaller, intimate weddings like this take place despite the issues going on in the world. It is real proof that even during a worldwide pandemic in Covid-19 you can still have a wedding day that is totally epic! If you want a small wedding thats ‘just us’ in the Lake District get in touch and let’s talk about your plans.
Lake District Lockdown Wedding
Live-streamed the day to their friends that couldn’t attend! Amelia and Robert had a really brilliant structure for their wedding day, starting at Grangefield cottage in Keswick and then moving on to Newlands Church in Keswick where the guests could enjoy tea and cake and the cake cutting! Once we had let the rain subside we then headed on to Derwent water foreshore to catch a boat ride with all the family and friends to some amazing places for a photoshoot or two!
Lake District Small Wedding
A great way to experience the Lakes is by boat, so that is exactly the plan that Amelia and Robert chose for their guests on their wedding day. We arrived at Derwent Water from the church and boarded the beautiful wooden boat for our onward journey around Windermere. Heading back to shore it was then on to the Pheasant Inn at Bassenthwaite for a sit down meal and some emotional speeches, what a wonderful day in the Lakes! I have made a guide to eloping or hosting a small wedding in the Lake District which you can see here.
