“Chris. You have to know how incredibly happy you have made us.
I am so grateful for your Hard work and I showed everyone! You made a whole room of us (40 people!!) cry.
I am sobbing watching this. Ross and I just love it so much, you have made something so magical.
This means so much to me, thank you thank you thank you”
Jorgie & Ross

Some places in the world are truly special. Scotland holds many special places though and the one the Jorgie and Ross chose was quite possibly the most amazing one I have ever seen. Their cabin, deep in the thick forest and land, isolated and allowing for an intimate cairngorms elopement. Jorgie and Ross wanted something different, a place that was just their own and to have an experience of their wedding to be an intimate affair.
Scotland Elopement in the Fall
There’s something truly magical about Scotland in autumn — or fall, as some might say — when the hills blush with russet and gold, and the air feels alive with quiet enchantment. Jorgie and Ross chose this intimate corner of the world not just for its breathtaking beauty, but for the deep, grounding connection it offered. They wanted to feel the land — to let the earth press gently against their bare feet as they explored the raw beauty of the grounds. There is romantic freedom in stripping everything back like that; just love, nature, and the soft hum of the season surrounding you. For couples who crave something real and soul-stirring, Scotland in the fall is less a destination and more a feeling — one that lingers long after the last leaf drifts to the ground.

An Intimate ‘Just Us’ Wedding Location
Jorgie and Ross’s elopement in the Cairngorms was the perfect reflection of who they are — relaxed, deeply connected, and full of love. They started the day tucked away in their cozy log cabin by the loch, the morning mist still hanging low over the water. With mugs of coffee warming their hands, they took their time over breakfast, soaking in the quiet and writing their vows together. The golden autumn leaves and breathtaking views across the loch set the tone for a day that felt both grounding and magical. A little family of ducks became their unexpected companions, following them everywhere as if giving their own seal of approval. When it came time for the ceremony, Neil Lynch — joined by his loyal dog, Tanni — led the couple to the wooden jetty just across from the cabin.
Afterwards, Jorgie and Ross kicked off their shoes and wandered barefoot through the forest floor, taking time to connect with the land and each other. The beauty of it all was so inspiring to both myself as photographer and for the couple, finding such peace and joy in the surrounds. Choosing to elope was their way of stripping everything back — just the two of them, the wild landscape, and their love. Soon, they’ll be celebrating with friends and family, sharing the story of their secret, beautiful day in the Highlands.
