Joe and Nikita’s wedding at Casterton Grange Estate was a day that truly captured the beauty of the season and the love shared between the couple. With the estate’s rich history and stunning surroundings, it was the perfect setting for an autumnal wedding in the Lake District.
Autumn Weddings at Casterton Grange Estate
Casterton Grange is a real hidden gem of a wedding venue, it has all the charm and sophistication you could ask for whilst also offering absolutely stunning surrounds and plenty for your guests to do. The house offers the feeling that you have just stepped into southern France or perhaps an idyllic location somewhere in Italy, it has that exotic yet homely feel.

Fine Art Photography at Casterton Grange
I simply adore prep. For me it is the moments before the ceremony that truly make you feel so privileged to witness the nerves, excitement and energy of a couple before they meet at the ceremony. I love to capture these moments with a fine art approach, I sought to preserve the tenderness of these instances, using soft, natural light to highlight the intimacy.
During the morning prep, I fully embrace the natural light to create an atmosphere of anticipation, all while ensuring the emotion of the moment was captured with a delicate, fine art photographic style.
Here were a few examples of the prep using a fine art approach:
The ceremony took place in the orangery, which, with its floor-to-ceiling windows, offers the most picturesque view of the estate’s gardens and private lake. On this crisp autumn day, the trees were painted in shades of fiery orange, gold, and deep red, creating a breathtaking backdrop. After the ceremony, guests moved into the reception area, which had been carefully styled to reflect the season. Tables were adorned with rich autumnal tones, from deep reds to soft golds, and decorated with beautiful foliage. The warmth of the decor, combined with the historic charm of Casterton Grange, created a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere for the evening ahead.
Here is their full day:
To round off the day, Joe and Nikita invited their guests outside to join them for a sparkler send-off. With the sky darkening, the sparklers lit up the night, adding a touch of magic to an already unforgettable day. Once again a big thanks to the team at Casterton Grange and especially to Anneka for making this an incredible wedding day for Joe and Nikita.
