It is always a great honour and a genuine thrill to cover weddings at famous locations, especially ones that are as stunning as Yew Tree Farm in the heart of the Lake District. Sadie and Charlie chose me to document their incredible day that was filled with so much joy and unparalleled stunning beauty. It was also a pleasure to work alongside the amazing Fran of Lakeland Media as well on this amazing and very rustic wedding.
Wedding at Beatrix Potters Farm
From the moment I arrived, there was a buzz of excitement in the air. Sadie got ready in the cottage, meanwhile, Charlie was outside making sure his beloved Triumph Spitfire IV convertible was shining (and let’s be honest, he looked just as excited about the car as he did about the ceremony!) The ceremony itself was intimate and full of emotion — a perfect mix of heartfelt vows, happy tears, and big smiles. Yew Tree Farm is one of those places that feels almost untouched by time, and it gave everything a warm, rustic charm.
Natural Wedding Day Photographs in Lake District
After the “I do’s,” we snuck away Charlies sports car to Tarn Hows for some portraits and for the couple to have some time together. This spot is always breathtaking, but that day it felt extra special. The towering pines, still lake, and sweeping views gave us the dreamiest backdrop. Add in Charlie’s Triumph convertible and it felt like we were shooting scenes from a vintage romance film.
Back at Yew Tree Farm, guests were ready to kick off the evening celebrations. And wow, did they celebrate! The barn was filled with fairy lights, great music, and a dance floor that never emptied. From epic dance-offs to big group singalongs, everyone let loose and made it a night to remember! One of the most memorable and amazing weddings of this year and one I will not forget
